What a beautiful trip. I’ve discovered something amazing. The work my parents have devoted their entire lives to suddenly makes sense.
I’ve always respected and striven to do what they do — be passionate and devoted to what you love, every day, sacrificing and struggling through nearly everything else. But I never fully appreciated their actual work, the output of this great passion. However, after a wonderful show by my mom, becki, and visiting local galleries with my dad, jan, I suddenly get it. They’ve been locked away in Hawai’i for 20 years painting and their work is so young and hip! And I’m ready to start to show it off to the world…
